GIUSTINO CAPODILUPO: Child custody disputes are complex. And handling them in the right way is essential. One of the key components to a child custody dispute is reasonableness. Unless there's a compelling reason to limit the access of the other parent, I counsel my clients to be reasonable in every aspect of the child custody dispute. When you're in the court system, you're under a microscope. And there are many people who are now viewing you under that, under that microscope. And if you're viewed as a parent who is attempting to limit the access of the children to the other parent, then that could be viewed in a very negative way. Sometimes the parties can't agree on child custody or they can't agree on division of assets, although during the course of the matter, we're always attempting to negotiate and attempting to settle. But it's not always possible if the parties can't agree. I am always prepared to take any of my cases to trial if necessary. My client can rest assured that I will zealously represent them, whether it's in settlement negotiations or trial.
